Electric Powered Comanche?

Has anyone converted a Comanche to run off an electric motor and what was the results?

Not an MJ, but some high school kid did it a handful of years back for his senior project to an XJ.  Same concept except you can't securely install the high dollar batteries in an MJ unless you sacrifice cargo space.

Oh, it wasn't cheap or easy.  A lot of fab skills and a large budget...  Something most of us lack, sadly. :(

what prompted this was seeing an s-10 conversion on youtube where all of the batteries where underneath the bed and not taking up any cargo space.

I suppose that would be a viable option.  You should do it then.  I'd be interested in seeing something like that.

There was another thread about this... Someone was talking about getting a shop to convert a street Comanche.
