86customanche Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 EYE. Ive had expired tags for quite some time. Year and a half maybe. Still drive it around my little town to friends houses and such.
terrawombat Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 It would be $128 for a normal two-year registration for the MJ in Maryland, but since I can register it as historic (20 years for MD), it drops it down to $51 for two years. It was $180 for my '04 Dodge Ram 2400 for a two-year registration because it weighs over 3,700 lb. I believe Maryland has to rank up there with one of the worst states for vehicle fees. Don't get me started on the way they have their inspections setup...
Exgrayxj Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Here in the sunshine state, the fees have been raised by Gov. alien to supplement the state income. Since his election. Now it is $58.35 for my xj,$71.85 for my 2wd GMC. Normal tags. Both nearly doubled. Title transfer fees also went from around $27-28 to over $75. Consequently many titles don't get transferred until it is a necessity. Like the mj. My HD is $57.35, "supposed" vanity tag, even tho it is all #s. All due this week ...
Automan2164 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 For me when I registered my new XJ: $95 to transfer the title $101 registration fee $25 Police plate fee $94 Vanity Fee Plus taxes on new vehicle purchase... $25 IIRC. $340. Renewal for said plate: $101 registration fee $25 Illinois Police Association license plates fee $13 vanity fee $139 yearly. I hate this state when it comes to titles/plates. Rob
