Does Leno Not Like Jeeps?

I can't really blame him for being so uninterested in the thing - it's a niche vehicle that mainly appeals to off-road enthusiasts, which he makes clear @ 0:45 he is NOT one of those people. He also made it very clear he wasn't a Jeep guy when he was looking for the hood release cable in the cab @ 4:20. His collection is mainly supercars/sportscars/racecars so, to him, I'm sure this is just a truck with oversized tires and an undersized (relatively speaking) motor.

I can't really blame him either, I don't see anything particularly interesting about that Jeep either, not really unique at all.

This is it. Jay is more of a weird/unusual classic guy. He likes the really nice classics, or the weird stuff. I know Conan O'Brien has talked about Jay picking him up in a steam powered car. Jay had said in a previous episode that GM gave him a Hummer just so he could be seen in it, but won't drive it because it's just another Hummer. This thing smells of product placement for Red Jacket Firearms and Discovery... I know he took a paycut to keep his staff on the bankroll, maybe he's trying to get some funds on the side.

Yup, leno likes things like stanley steamers, dusenburgs, turbine powered cars, old exotics, etc.

I bet he would have been interested in it if it were a WWII MB fully retored to original spec.

..... I got bored with it to.... LOL its another lifted JK with a conversion that will see little if any offroading besides a curb hop now and then.

That's my thinking too, there are two of those "JK8" conversions sitting down at the jeep dealer here, And lifted big blingy JKs are a dime a dozen. You see them driving around on the pavement all the time, and when you do see them off-road they are typically going the speed of a cement truck over the most minor obsticle, leaving a frustrated Jeeper in a stock XJ wishing they would pull off and let a more competent driver pass them.
