Eagle
The bearings are inside, that's why it's called a unit bearing. If you are getting a "deal," be sure it's the right one for your year. They are not all the same, and they do not interchange.

sinkrun
I bought mine from rockauto.com I think they were around $80.00 that was for the 99 cherokee. Whats nice about them they have many choices of brands. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
Eagle
I'm accustomed to paying around $100 apiece for the front unit bearings. Sounds high, but they're good for 150,000+ miles, so it's not too bad. FWIW, the early style can be rebuilt -- Quadratec sells the individual bearings and seals (two of each required per hub). The total cost isn't that much less than a new unit, and you need a 12-ton or 20-ton hydraulic shop press to do the work.

skidoo_j
I'd stick with name brand bearings, Not to long ago i found (posted link on CC.com too) a youtube video showing how brand new bearings that were store brand were so far out of tolerances they would be considered shot vs timkens. found the old post: Ordered timken hub bearings. and new outer axle ujoints. ...........Check out this video I found reviewing the "store" brand unihubs. http://www.youtube.c...ed/8zHBxwwOg6s
