expeditionnw
First, let me apologize for my first post being a for sale ad. I realize its pretty tasteless. some of you may have seen my build thread on nw naxja. this is that truck. I have the nicest Comanche you may ever see. Though there are many very nice trucks on this site. I don't know anyone dumb enough to put the hours I have into this one to make it as factory origional as it is. I wanted a 2001 mj to daily drive, oem down to the location of the wire loom retainer pins under the firewall. this truck started as a 1987 2wd. the body was completely stripped and EVERYTHING original to the truck was scrapped. the truck was rebuilt bolt by bolt, using all new or as new late model parts. every tab, wire, or bend in the sheet metal was built as if this truck had rolled off the 2001 jeep assembly line. it would take a dealer doing a vin check to tell the difference. there are over 300hrs into this truck, and over 13 grand. this truck has been fitted with an OBDII onboard diagnostic system, which functions perfectly with no codes. This truck is an excellent daily driver, and is obviously very comfortable. It is fully optioned, and rides incredibly nice. this truck has been averaging 19mpg as is. This truck has about 3k miles sice the restore. There are a few finishing touches to be done including: installing matching gearsets in the axles(have yukon parts NIB) installing the A-piller trim The truck is at the paint shop getting sanded down to bare metal and resprayed, due to a few imperfections that surfaced. I will listen to offers, only IF you are willing to finish the few things that are unfinished above. asking price is based on a finished truck, though it is a daily driver currently. I apologize, but i don't have any assembled photos, but i have dozens of pics of the build process. features: Interior: Ice cold a/c cruise control black leather, wood grain trim pwr windows, pwr door locks power leather seats heated seats pioneer speaker system cd player Compustar remote start/keyless entry Dynomat on every square centimeter of the cab euramtec map lights Exterior: $3500 paint job, "mango tango" Toyo m/t' 33x12.50 tires brand new 100% tread on brand new incubus wheels. tinted windows tinted CR Lawrence rear slider window New windshield HID headlight with glass enclosures Engine: fresh 2001 ho 4.0, new gaskets, 103k on engine, 60# oil pressure at idle, runs a consistent 180 deg distributorless ignition all engine accessories are new within 2k, using industry quality parts 120 amp alternator, new bendix starter K&N FIPK air intake system (PN 57-1518) Rubicon Express 62mm throttle body (PN RE1062) Magnaflow header/down pipe/catalytic converters/muffler etc (completely new system font to back. MJRemi
That looks like a great build and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears on your part. Finished project photos would be helpful if you can. CA has stricter emissions than WA so I don't know if it can be registered here but that would be a welcome addition to any garage. Good luck!! Alexia
Welcome to the site, expeditionnw, and good luck with the sale. You are certainly in the correct place for it. To everyone, lets keep this clean like the super clean MJ.
expeditionnw
That looks like a great build and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears on your part. Finished project photos would be helpful if you can. CA has stricter emissions than WA so I don't know if it can be registered here but that would be a welcome addition to any garage. Good luck!! thanks for the compliments. I will take a ton of pictures once I get the truck back from the paint shop. I wanted to post it for sale now, and give someone the opportunity to source their own paint, and maybe save a few bucks. As far as emissions go, this truck will pass any state emissions test with flying colors. for the interested paries, I will take it through emissions in washington and post a copy of the particulate results so you can compare it to your states requirements. EDIT: Being that this is currently titled as a 1987, some states may deem it exempt from emissions. though it wil pass like a new 2001 jeep. Guest
Hello, Where is this Manche located at? I might be in the market for a very well built...completed rig that is fairly aggressive yet able to be daily driven. I used to be a memger here...since 04/05...but I recently just had to re-join (I guess because of the new layout/site). Thanks
expeditionnw
my truck is located near vancouver wa. I can coordinate with your shipping company to have it delivered to you. I would guess shipping a vehicle to the lower 48 will be around 800$. This truck had alot of attention given to be a daily driver. Its had 40hrs of bodywork done, as well as countless comfort refinements. It was never meant to be taken on the trails. THat said, IT does have 100% new toyo MT wheels and tires, the proper gears, and a rock solid suspension setup.
