purplexj
Wondering how they look too. Have a brand new set for my Xj, but too cold and now snow. Got a set of 5 for $250 , never mounted. I'll try them on Xj and Mj w/ 31"s when we get better weather and post pic if you don't get one first.

Guest
Feerocknok: When you say "zero to 60 in 27 seconds" are you talking about the 2 doors Xj in the picture? What engine? The question is because i have always wondered what would be a reasonable or normal acceleration value for my 2,5 lts MJ (carbureted). Thank you Fernando
Mitch
yep them are the rims... are they 15x7 or 8?

Thank you Fernando It's not my XJ, just one I found on the internet. My truck goes from 0-60 MPH in 27 seconds with stock gears, a rebuilt fuel injected 2.5L with an automatic transmission, no unneeded weight in the truck, and 31" tires. Mitch
are you serious???? 30 seconds to get to 60mph?
JeepcoMJ
yea i was thinkin that too...i have 31's on my truck with either 3:73 or 3:54 gearing (not sure) and even with my 2.8 i was under 20. with the 3.8 i break 15 easily...that guy's truck is one slow truck. feerocknok
It's hella slow. I'm hoping the regear will help and I need to check some sensors (even though the dealer said they checked them) cause the trucks doing some funky idle things even with a new CPS. Truck weighs 3600 with a 1/4 tank of gas and me inside.

feerocknok
Is the cat alright? Not sure. I'll prob change it. That's why I had the high-flow cat thread up awhile back. Possibilities for the speed are the gearing, sensors, cat, or the power sucking 904 transmission.
Kenosha Warrior
jeeze man, my tired old 2.5'er and the 4spd will do at least 0-60 in 20 sec. Thats with 205's.
Pete M
Lets all not forget that the speedometer will be off with tire size changes. Not that there are any sort of bragging rights if these times are indeed accurate.
speed_racer
holy hell... Ive NEVER Been in a rig that slow... lol Is your motor super boggy? or really windy? (wine-dee) Doesn't make sense dude... Or maybe my perception is just totally off, time to go time the MJ, I'm guessing at least lower than 10 seconds w/stock gearing, 5 speed, and 31's
feerocknok
holy hell... Ive NEVER Been in a rig that slow... lol Is your motor super boggy? or really windy? (wine-dee) Doesn't make sense dude... Or maybe my perception is just totally off, time to go time the MJ, I'm guessing at least lower than 10 seconds w/stock gearing, 5 speed, and 31's I've figured what percent my speedo is off, so it's actually 60. It's just slow. I got a video of the tach and speedo rising to 60 today so I can see where it's pulling and where it's lagging.

purplexj
It doesn't bother me if anyone needs or want's to get off topic. If you don't ask, you don't get.
Guest
In that case it is me who has to say sorry. I asked about acceleration in this topic but the sentence before the nice XJ picture called my attention. Sorry. I should have written another post. Mitch
I don't mind, I will probably be buying the gamblers (if I still have a job) so I will get a first hand look at them. Glad something useful happened in one of my threads.
