workaholic
Ok from the Haynes/chiltons manual I should have my fuse block on the pass side fender well inside the engine bay. Well all my MJ has are 3 fuses and a jumble of wires, I have searched all over this rig to try and find a fuse block to no avail. Is that another place that it would be? The MJ is a 1990 pioneer 4wd AW4 column shift longbox. Thanks, Tom

Thanks, Tom that fusebox is a 95 on up cherokee fuse box. the one in your truck is under the dash next to the brake pedal on the driver's side. should house all of your fuses. if not there, you need to be taking pictures and posting them here so we can help you out...cause somethin ain't right then! Excellent, found it. Thanks, now if I could only figure out why my taillights won't work. I have turn signals but no reverse lights or taillights. Thanks, Tom there should be tail light fuses there somewhere...i forget. if it's not that, pull your tail lights outta the bed and check the wiring out there then follow the wires all the way back under the truck to the cab and see how they look. if they don't look bad, it's in the cab (think lightswitch etc.)
Duner
Also check your fuse block connections as your MJ and its XJ cousin are prone to windshield leaks that for some reason drip right on the fuse block as well as us 5spd owners who also get the clutch master cyl. leaking on to it as well. My truck had both problems ended up with fuse block and $400 repair bill (even though my uncle used to work there but they are honest) and they did cut back all the wires and put all new connections on them (its nice being able to actually watch them work instead of gettin ripped off - PO took it in for turn signal and tailight repairs and you would not believe what was done could have burned at any moment). Pete M
In my 88 I lost backups to a bad switch in the trans and later on I lost my brake lights due to corrosion in the wire harness connector located right behind the drivers side rear tire. carnuck
I see it's fixed, but thought I'd mention the brake fluid from the clutch master leaking makes a big mess too! I undid mine from the firewall and spaced it a couple inches away.
