tj power steering gear box in a xj or mj(are they the same)

my brother needs a new gear box and i have a brand new one out of a tj but i was wondering if it would fit his 96 cherokee?

If it uses 3 bolts to bolt it to the frame there is a good chance it will work. the YJ box used 4 bolts but i think the TJ used 3.

XJ, MJ, YJ, ZJ and TJ should all be the same.

For an upgrade, get the 4 bolt box from an FSJ or full size '70's GM car. (casting #76 in them) Just make sure you get one with O-ring lines or you'll need a custom PS hose.

It comes with an already dropped arm.
