89bhg Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I'm seeing an aftermarket aluminum valve cover available for 1993-2001 4.0L Cherokee/Comanche engines (made by Crown). That must be the "high output" version of the engine apparently? Any chance of finding such an item for an '89 4.0? Not looking good on google.. 89 Comanche 4x SWB, 4 inch lift, 32x11.50 BFGs New Hampshire

sinkrun Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 The cover on my 89 4.0 is off a factory jeep 2002 4.0 had to adapt a few lines nothing major.
Eagle Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 The '87 - '90 4.0L valve cover is cast aluminum. Just get one from a junk ard and spend a couple of evenings polishing it.
