Thanks for the input on my fuel injection problem, looks like it's the injector (86 2.5 TBI) and my parts store is saying $307.00 Does anyone know where I can get this cheaper?

$300 is crazy.

find out what lb/hour the injector is and then match it up with a generic one. Ford injectors are common upgrades for the 4.0, I imagine you can find something similar for the 2.5

I just talked to Dr. Injector he lists on ebay, he says the 87-90 2.5 injector he has listed cross references to the 86, does that sound right? He sells it for $77.50

I'm heading down to the junkyard tomorrow, and can snag one for you if you want. IIRC, they charge $5 or so. No guarantees that it'll be a good one, but if you want me to grab it let me know.

Most of the time you only need the oring seal kit and a can of BG's 44K in the tank to fix the TBI injectors. (or a bottle of CD2 Maximum Fuel Economy, but it seemed to go away @2002. I tried to save as many as I could. It got my '86 MJ 25-30 mpg average on the trip to Ouray in '02 with a 6,000lb gross weight, 3" lift and alignment knocked out of whack by a delivery truck in CO.

Well I rang out the wires to the fuel injector, I have 3.5 volt there, is that what I should expect? Now I have to look at the ecm I guess as that is where the other inje ctor wire goes. Apparently the injector was NOT it.
