Zenobian_84
I'm currently running what I hope and assume is a 74 amp alternator. I've read a few threads on here about people upgrading to a higher output alternator, but am unsure if there's any substantial upgrades for a Renix 2.5; specifically, any simple "take the old one off and put the new one on" processes. Everything runs smooth as silk right now, but I'd like to see if there's anything bigger I can go to, in case I decide to throw on some serious lights or more electrical doohickies down the line. Any and all help is appreciated. :wrench:
Jeep Driver
I went to 105 amp from an 88 Caprice. I read others have luck with 94 Dakota. And yeah if you run e-fan or amp or other devices it helps a lot.
MJRemi
My local Autozone had a 100 amp for the Renix 2.5 available in re-man or new.
smithe1811
Someone had a list on here a while ago of alternators from other vehicles that for. I have not been able to find it as i have not masterd the search yet. Maybe someone else knows where it is.
