Automan2164
Anyone else get as pumped about it as me? Once in a lifetime opportunity. I started my making a projection viewer, which started with a 12 pack box, but it wasn't far enough away to enlarge the spot, so I added a chip box to no avail, then I broke out the heavy artillery and used a packing tube. I wanted as large as a spot as possible. I read that it was the size equivalent of putting a 1/4" dot on a paper plate and walking 45 feet away. The rig: Honing it in on a friends truck: Best I could do: Dot shadow around 4-5 o'clock Dot shadow near the edge around 4-5 o'clock It was really easy to see with my naked eye in the box, but getting it to translate onto my camera phone was another story. AMCJeepMJ
I had clear skies, but opted to just watch the coverage on NASA tv.
