Pete M Posted February 27, 2012 Share Posted February 27, 2012 my 88's fuel pump was grounding itself to the rear ground point behind the driver's side tail light. not sure if it was supposed to do that, but it was. So if all else fails, clean up that ground, inspect the rear harness connector (located under the truck between the rear tire and that taillight), or do what I did and splice in a grounding wire right by the fuel tank.
