88 mj not charging. please help

Ok. I have run a wire Straight from battery to alt and a wire from battery to the yellow wire its not showing its charging at all.

I've had alts test good and be bad. I don't trust the testing.

Does the gauge show voltage? or is the idiot light on with key on not running?

If not you found your problem, take a test light and touch to the non yellow wire and see if it lights up.

If it does have someone start the truck and see if the test light goes out, if it doesn't then you have a wiring issue to the dash.

I reckon I'm a idiot.... what is the idiot light? Could i by pass the other wire

The alt is bad.........period!.........go get another one.
