This weekend I drove 705.4 miles round trip to pick up Butter Ball. He is 2 years old and the Brother to Chaos our Beagle puppy we had... Any way he seems do like to ride in the passenger seat as well as try to crawl into my lap while driving... about two thirds of the way home he wanted to sit in my lap, so we had a little bit of a struggle some swerving and he downshifted the WK a couple times before i gave up. He them promptly fell asleep with his head on the steering wheel... thankfully the rest stop was 2 miles away at that point.. so we got off there and walked around some and put him in the back where he stayed the rest of the trip with his head propped on the back seats looking at me with big puppy eyes saying "why did you put me back here, i want to sit with you.." we made it home safely and he became part of the family instantly.

Cool, glad you found a new friend and hes the brother of chaos. I just turned down 2 beagles about the same age as we have 3 now not easy to turn down in fact I thought of you and was wishing you were closer when they were offered.

Awaiting the " what are the best earplugs to shut out beagle howl" post.... :D

actually he is a rather quiet beagle :D he only barks or howls when my roommate's dog has been barking for a while (fixed his dog with a bark collar LOL :brows: ) I am also thankful the house is as well sound insulated as it is, we had a drum set in one of the other rooms and you can barely hear it down the hall when someone was playing on it. So we don't really hear the dogs much :D but I am sure the neighbors can

Exactly why I wish my state had a beagle season with a bag limit of at least 10.

All of my neighbors have dogs most of those dogs are the ones that don't shut up :fs1: the good sound insulation is only in the New part of the house (where the bedrooms are thankfully) and the old part has thin single pain windows and can hear everything with a high pitch sound outside

I once approached 2 friends/coworkers as this conversation started - Bill was asking Jim if Johns beagles constant barking bothered him - No, said Jim, guess I'm far enough down the hill that I've never really noticed - Bill said; Well ya know I'm right next door now & they're driving me nuts, especially on mid-nights(we worked a swing shift) Being new to the neighborhood & all I really don't want to start trouble but I can't sleep with all that noise - what d'ya think? Jim's reply was "I'd poison 'em" - - - Awww No, Jim, as much as I love dogs I could never poison those 2 beagles! - - - Without hesitation & dead serious Jim came back with; "I wasn't talkin' about the dogs" - - - momentary silence & then Jim grinned. :D
