lifted_xj
I know the 8.8 is a simple straight forward swap but my main concern is the drive shaft. Do I still need a long shaft even with the yoke adapter? Gonna head to the junk yard to see if I can find a locked 4.10 axle this weekend if not ill just wait and be patient. SW86
id like to know this as well. I'm picking up an 8.8 this weekend. i think itd be fine since I'm going up to 6.5 but knowing before i dive in would be helpful.
btm24
With my 2wd drive shaft It fit my 8.8 with lift still 2wd. Now 4x4 I had to have it shortened a few inches. I think that results may very tho. Good luck! Best thing I ever did its just sad to see it all rusty now :-/ Brandon
camjeep3
even with the adapter i run my stock shaft. I am Spring over axle though, i could probably benefit from a longer shaft still.
