terrawombat Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 The paint on that truck looks remarkable for having so much rust. Looks identical to the one that popped up for sale by me literally two days after I picked up my white '92...minus all of the rust.
Jeepcomanche87 Posted December 13, 2011 Author Posted December 13, 2011 Yeah it looks good besides the rust
jeepdoggydogB Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Very nice, The only other 92 with that kind of striping I have ever seen was the one Gogetemturbo (the one that caught on fire) bought near Sacramento California.
terrawombat Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 My '92 had them as well but the PO removed them. I'll see if I can find a pic. They were on the '92 Sport models. Commonly known around here as the "swoosh."
Automan2164 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 12/91. As confirmed by the seller. Rob

terrawombat Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Your swoosh seems like a more refined version of the one I was thinking of. Not as broken up and choppy like the one in the original post. Wasn't able to find the picture of my '92 with the decals on it, but I do remember a picture of my grandfathers '92 when he bought it new. Once that truck was hit on the drivers door, those decals didn't last very long after that since they were pretty hard to come by IIRC.
Automan2164 Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I think Dons were a dealer installed stripe. The factory ones I think you have in mind are two colors, usually red and grey, and almost look like a dry brush stroke with fade and irregularity. Rob

Rob Yes, mine were dealer installed as verified by the old gent I bought the truck from. He said it cost him about $100 to get them installed when he bought it new.
