Rebelfish99
Yes, I've been here about 3 weeks now and have seen 2 comanches already, haven't had to chance to get and inspect them really but they are both being used as 'Tap Tap's' a form of mass transit here. Normally theres about 5-10 locals riding in one at any given point. But I managed to get a picture of this one which I'm trying to find out more info on because its been sitting since before the earthquake here back in 2010, Its even blocked in where it sits, but seeing as all of Haiti is one big flea market, I think I can pick it up. The other MJ is currently running and I've seen it twice running around the airport, once I can get its route down (like a bus route) I'm gonna stop and talk to the owner and see what its got. Now out of the 100,000 plus trucks I've seen here, only 2 MJs, but maybe more, I just never expected to see an MJ all the way down in Haiti. Anyways, here you go. Jeepman
If you can get the VIN we can run the build sheet if it is not an 88 that is... Cool find for sure...
Automan2164
Check the front axle too... Supposedly, exports could have a factory D44. Rob
Rebelfish99
I'm going by there this weekend and gonna try and snap some more pics, Haitians believe that if you take their picture, your stealing their soul, so its kind of tricky trying to take pics.... jvd
On Tortola British Virgin Island I saw several, one parked at a dock, the other driving the other direction and saw another on St John US Virgin Island. Unfortunately I was unable to stop and check them out, I think I snapped a quick pic while stopped. I'll see if I can find it. Like all vehicles down there, they appeared to be in pretty crappy condition.
Rebelfish99
Well I talked to some of the locals that work with us and they said that it has been there over a year now, but that if I could find the owner I could probably buy it for about $1000 USD. Yeah....... Cars down here are SUPER expensive, a mid 90s car in OK condition is about $8000 usd.
Comanche County
We need to have a contest on the farthest known MJ from the US. I think Marcus from GoJeep in Australia would claim that title though. Someone in North Central Siberia would need to have an MJ to beat him.
