The new Power Wagon may be the best out-of-the box stock 4x4 pick-up ever for what most people want in a truck. Re-badging one of those as a Jeep would hardly be an insult, IMHO. 3/4-ton rating, D60's with real lockers front & rear, ability to disconnect the sway bars, huge tires, full frame....

Went to the grocery store and passed a lil'CryCo dealership, Stopped in asked about the JK-8 Kit truck from mopar again they had no clue what I was talking about . . . While I was talking with the guys inside a salesman tried to get bosslady to trade in my MJ ! ! !

Apparently he asked what would it take to buy/trade in the Jeep truck, She told him "You couldn't afford to buy this truck in your wildest dreams"

Now how awesome is that ? ! ? ! ? She stuck up for my lil'truck jamminz.gif

The kit isnt in the catalog yet, but it should be on the MOPAR website. Unless the dealer parts guy is a gearhead like we are, they probably wouldnt know anything about the kit. You should be able to go to MOPAR.com and find the kit and the part number, take the part number to whatever dealer, and they can order it for you. I think list is supposed to be $5500, and knowing Chrycos parts markups, any parts dept should be more than happy to order one for you.

You'd think they would've had it ready for order before it was ready for order, I mean do they expect a person to have 2 monthly payments on this thing ? ! ? ! ?

First buy this $30K Jeep then buy this $5,500 add on then you can or we can install it for you.

I think each dealership should have one built on the show room and 2 kits in stock ready to go, May NOT be a factory built truck but it can be a dealer built truck . . . AMC/Rambler dealers used to do custom builds all the time ;)

Maybe I'm crazy to think they should stock 2 with one built ? ? ? Or at least be able to get the kit ordered when they order your 4dr Wrangler so on day X you pick up your $38K Jeep truck ? ? ?

Your paying RAM prices my as well get RAM service ;)

Ya well I never much understood having a dozen of the sme thing, I've got what's been called weakest of the weak MJ's and its reliably went 24yrs and 200K miles and counting . . . Oits a shortbed 2WD 2.5 / AX4 / D35x3.73s turning 235s . . . I'm rather impressed with its performance, considering what's towed / hauled / driven through / durability / reliability 3yrs later still finds ways to impress me . . . If the FS-Jeep truck is even remotely as good of a rig, I'll be massively impressed with it too ;)

There will be few if any dealers who will keep this in stock becasue of its cost, size, and limited customer base. There will be a few larger dealers who will convert, but they will be in LARGE market areas only where they know they can sell it. Our little small town dealer did a different truck kit on a used TJ, and it sat on the lot, unsold for almsot two years because no one wanted to pay that price for a used Jeep.

Well I'm NOT dropping such a large amount of money into such a little truck, Without being able to see it in person first is my concern this is why i was hopping somebody would buiild a "display" unit

:hmm: I could build 1 heck of a nice diesel Jeep "J5500" for less ;)
