MancheKid86 Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 help, could this be due to a leaky head gasket? or bad oxygen sensor? input would be great.
mvusse Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Even on soft rubber 35x12.50 mud tires I get13, and that's still with the stock gears. On stock tires I got 24 on the highway any day of the week.
MancheKid86 Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 okay, that was on stockers, would disconecting my oxygen sensor temporarily fix the problem until i get a new one?
philbert001 Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Nope! Unplugging it would have the same effect as it's non-functional condition now! When they die/ get unplugged, the ecm can't tell weather it's running rich or lean, so it forces itself into full rich mode. running rich causes no real damage, whereas running lean can cause all sorts of problems!
philbert001 Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 It being in full rich mode is also why you are getting 10mpg!
