Sending unit

I have a 1989 4.0L Base, and I was told I need a new sending unit. Do I need to get a unit AND fuel pump or just a unit, second do you know the best place to buy a new one. Thank you.

Jeep don't make the assembly anymore.

 

Your best place to find one will be the JY.

 

You could find some new part at Rock Auto.

You won't find a "new" one anywhere unless someone on here has one they've hung onto since bought new in which case doubtedly will let go of it. You best bet is the junkyard or some shops can take your old one and make a custom new one based off of it by stretching and rebending the tubes of an XJ unit.
