abugarcias Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 My engine has been running rough and I've had some loss of power when I accelerate. I tested the pressure on all cylinders and here are the results: 1 - 60 2 - 90 3 - 75 4 - 85 5 - 80 6 - 90 What could this indicate? Timing chain?
jimoshel Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Worn rings, cylinders. It's ready for a rebuild.
dfreeman616 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 or possibly timing... shoot a little oil down in each cylinder and repeat the compression test. if the numbers come up, piston rings = rebuild time, so how much do you want to upgrade :brows:
Timmaay Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Or the gauge could be reading low...But you still have a good bit of variance between cylinders anyhow.
