Fire4755 Posted April 6, 2011 Share Posted April 6, 2011 Amazing Truck! 1988 Jeep Comanche Pioneer Long Bed 2WD 4.0L 6 Cylinder 5 Speed Manual. Engine Runs Great but it will need to be towed. The bolt that holds the drive shaft on broke off and the drive shaft dented a hole in the gas tank. I brought it to the dealership i work at by i don't have the time or money to fix it. To fix it will need A fuel tank, tank straps, fuel pump seal, Rear u joint, and they recommended a new drive shaft because it is probably not balanced anymore. That being said if you fix it it drives perfect! This is not a junker or parts truck it is my Daily Driver up until this happened this past weekend! It has 68,997 miles original! It includes a lot of aftermarket upgrades... Jensen head unit, kenwood door speakers, speaker boxes behind seat, tool box, custom off road bumper, custom center console with switches one for fog lights one is not hooked up, spare rims and snow tires, and a second set of doors with power windows locks and mirrors because i was in the middle of converting. I have recently done the following as well... New slave cylinder, New brakes (almost every part from some lines to drums), New muffler and pipes, and New tires and painted rims.... $1000 OBO I also have all of the parts to convert to 4x4 which if done now would fix all the problems other then the fuel stuff. I will sell the truck with the parts for $2000 or each individual part... Front drive shaft- $35 Rear drive shaft- $65 Ax15 Transmission and NP231 transfer case with flywheel and clutch- $400 Front Dana 30 with 3.55 gearing- $150 Rear Dana 35 with 3.55 gearing- $150 Catalytic Converter from an XJ- $20 Another NP231 transfer case for ba10/5- $75 Rear Window Louvers- $25 Custom behind seat subwoofer and amp box- $45 Long bed cap (needs locking mechanism)- $100 Running boards from 2 door Cherokee (will fit with minor modification)- $75 Lund Sunvisor- $90 Stock front bumper- $35 All parts were in working order when taken off the donor Cherokee's as far as I know. Please Serious buyers only this is by no means a scrap truck and I will not take a low ball price. I just can't find the money to fix it. The truck has been in my family since new and it was given to me a few years ago so if needed I have most service records and the original buyers paperwork.
