What axles bolt into XJs ???

Will an MJ dana 30, ZJ dana 30, TJ dana 30 bolt into XJ's

 

I figure MJs Dana 30s would ...... how about the rest?

All of them will bolt in.

 

But, the TJ will be a LP30 and the ZJ will be a LP30 with CV axles.

Not all ZJ's are CV. 242's could come with u-joints... I just swapped in a LP30 with u-joints and 3.73's into the ol' ZJ.

I've seen a number of ZJs with u joint axles, sometimes on one side, sometimes both. Small u joints, large, ABS, non ABS. It seems to not be uncommon to swap a u joint shaft in when a CV shaft goes out.
