cz777 Posted March 30, 2011 Share Posted March 30, 2011 well i have family and friends in Germany ,they are piss-off over the fuel with alcohol ! its causing a lot of trouble from carbon up the back of the intake valves to killing o2 sensors loss of mileage etc -i have seen some of what talking about ! http://www.straightdope.com/columns/rea ... ood-or-bad and BWM came out its not good !!!oh the flex-fuel is a big pile of crap too!!! i have been putting a crap of o2 sensors last 5 years more than before at 60,000 mile mark ,now you get 30,000 miles with luck !! True, the corn alcohol does nothing good for gas mileage, causes premature wear of parts, and deteriorates rubber. The only thing it does is give the corn growers something to do. Corn is for eating... not making corn syrup, not making ethanol... eating. It's funny that they're in an uproar, as you say. We've been dealing with it for some time now.
