Home brew diff cover

This was on Cherokee forum It seems like a great idea.

Home brew diff cover made with another d30 cover...

cost me about 8.00 with paint and 5 longer bolts

Looks to me like another spot for water to get into and rust out both diff covers. Maybe he should have drilled a drainage hole in the bottom of it.

i might make one, and i think i will just put a layer of silicone in between them so they are glued together, then it will be a one-piece unit............ :D

Not real sure how well that will work but good luck and post any resolts, I made and sold prob 15 of these. Good luck :cheers:

That's a good idea. Here's a thought. Put studs at the bottom so it can be removable if need to by using 2sets of nuts.

I would say instead of drilling a hole just put a washers between it and the did cover so it has a gap
