Maybe you want to retain the factory size opening on the corners... maybe you want to just cap over them... maybe you want to weld the corners shut and start over? The way I did it on my old pickup consisted of using 16 gauge diamond plate rolled around the corner in between the box and the tailgate. I was planning on making metal boxes and put in oval STT LED lights in, I have the lights but now I think I want to do full rear bed guard wrapped around to house the LED lights.
