Back when I wanted a Wrangler I wanted to have Metalcloak fenders on it. But I changed my mind again and wanting another MJ instead. I thought about the Metalcloak fenders, and how could they fit on a MJ/XJ today at work... So I emailed Metalcloak and asked

"Are you planning on making products for the XJ/MJ in the future"?

and they said they are designing "products" for the XJ not so much for the MJ... They said it might be out by next year around this time.

But would the XJ stuff bolt right up to the MJ?

I don't know about the rest of the members of the comancheclub, but I'm excited!

If you don't know about Metalcloak and their fenders:

You can take a stock not lifted wrangler, put the Metalcloak fenders on it and fit 37" tires.

the fenders should bolt up no problem, just the style slightly changed in 97' on the xj, rounder on top of the fender and like a 6" piece was trimmed off to be flush with the header panle. alot of people trim it on the pre 97 for tire clearance

It would be nice to have more options out there,

and MetalCloak makes some very nice stuff,

but you could probably buy a tubing bender, take a bending class, make the fenders yourself,

and still pay less than the $$$$$ for MC's.

They do nothing to the wheel well,All your doing is taking the fender off that's where the extra room comes from.

The metalcloak just dresses it up and gives you a tube for extra protection.
