hick92 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 ive been planning on making it a 4wd but i just wondering how hard it will be and if there is anyone around illinois that might have some of the parts that i will need and maybe offer some help just send a message
Automan2164 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Where you at in IL? There is a BUNCH of us up around the WI border... Rob L.
Automan2164 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Yeah, your pretty far down there... I think MCF90 might be close to you... My best advice would be to pick up a cheap junk XJ donor... Be the best way to get all your parts for your conversion. That, and whatever you don't use could put money back into your pocket. Rob L.
hick92 Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 ive never done anything like this before i don't know who to do it
Automan2164 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 You mean the 4x4 conversion? Its pretty simple, but I would highly recommend getting an XJ donor. You could find one for around $500 usually, and get yourself all the parts you need with the rest of it to sell off when your done. Overall, the cheapest/easiest way to do it. Since this would be your first time, you could use the XJ as a guide, and put whatever you took off of the XJ right on to the MJ. I am a bit far to come and help, but I would be happy to walk you through any step possible over the net. Rob L.
