2.5+AX15

It was mostly curiosity. I find it hard to believe that they would only make this combination for one vehicle, the 90's Dakota considering the way Detroit likes to maximize the use and minimize the cost. Anyway I like the 2.5 engines and feel the AX15 is the best tranny considering cost,availability and durability.

I don't mean standard I-own-a-Jeep-so-I-can beating the piss out of it. I mean beating the piss out of it. Like locked on D60s with 44s beating the piss out of it.

 

Now, if you're bored and want something to do, so you decided to put an AX-15 behind the 2.5, then go nuts. I just can't see it being cost effective.

I know what your saying. Half of what I do is just out of curiosity just to see if it will work, or if I can make it work. Putting a Corvair engine in a homebuilt airplane for example. Another half of what i do is out of necessity, cutting firewood so I don't freeze my patooty off. And another half of what I do is for the fun of it and to make a buck. HAPPY NEW YEAR everybody.
