locking the front solid

i want to replace my eaton locker in my d44 front with a spool,

first is this a good idea? and second has anyone already done it?

what kind of issues did it cause??

Personally I'd never run a spool in a front axle; even if it's offroad only.

You will brake front axle components on a fully locked Dana 30.

I've got a minispool in my front 44. i HATE it. turning is, well, challenging. when I can get to it, I'm swapping it for a locker.

I have a front lock on my JK. It sucks. Only on for "special moments".

I had a full Detroit in the front of my MJ, I didn't like it. Get a selectable.
