'86 vs. '89

Will the front fenders, header panel and associated parts from an '86 MJ bolt right into an '89 MJ. I think they will but just want confirmation from someone who really knows. My '89 was just hit so I need to replace the whole front end and have a line on an '86 as a donor. Thanks.

I would think but most people go for the 97 and newer look just a thought if that other deal falls through

Well I actually like the older look and can get the whole '86 truck for $250.

Header panel will be different. It was changed in 87 for the 4.0l.

YES,

there are some cosmetic differences. But you will be able to bolt on all parts you would need for the repair.

they will bolt up, but as previously stated the header and radiator support area are different, as well as the hood and hood latch set up. if possible, get an 87-up. if you're just talking about the fiberglass part that goes around the grill and lights, you should be ok, though. fenders are the same.
