1987 Comanche "Recovery"

As some of you know my brother Matt has been in the hospital recovering from a car accident for the last few months. Some local Clubs all pitched and with my family to buy my brother a 1987 SporTruck in an effort of saying "Get well soon" I will be doing most of the work on this along with my father and a few close friends. When we are done we will be presenting this truck to Matt as a gift, we hope it will help him recover and get well soon.

 

I am a complete stranger to Jeeps so please bare with me throughout this project.

What we have to start with

 

 

1987 SporTruck with what I was told "2.5" motor, N231 and Ax15. She has 136,xxx on the ticker and looks like it has been in the ocean since 1995. It currently needs some rust repair on the rear wheel wells, and is in need of a floor and "slave cylinder".

We plan on installing a complete new floor, new rocker panels, a new exhaust as the previous owner cut off the cat and muffler, a 3" lift kit with a set of 33x12.5R15 Mtz's we have in the barn.
