Naterenfo1
That looks really really difficult! do you have a posting on how you removed all of that? I pretty much have to do this as well because I have some wires that have been eaten away by mice. Looks good! -Nate
cluricaunne
Well, I don't have pics of the removal itself, but it wasn't too difficult. There is one 7mm bolt on the firewall side of the block, and two #3 phillips head screws on the inside, that will pull the fuse block from the fire wall. From there you will need to pull the dash and harness at the same time basically, document where each of the plugs go, that will save you time later. A few cable ties later, and you too can have a giant pile of multi colored spaghetti... lol

Wondering about XJ combatibility, I don't expect any issues, but want to make sure.

cluricaunne
I work in a salvage yard, made parts easy to find, but I recommend 87-92 Cherokee 4.0L with an auto trans. I used the block and pins (with minor modifications to a couple of them) haven't finished installing yet, but seems to have gotten the job done nicely... Logan0531
This is great info. I’m about to rebuild my whole wiring harness. This is a good place to start!
