Tires

they rubbed at full turn only in one direction,
:hijack: Whats up with that??? Tires that rub but only while turning one direction. I'm only running 33's with a 6+ inch lift and I've checked and triple checked my axle and made sure it and my steering were both centered but it still rubs the lower arm at full left lock. :dunno:

On my '88 Cherokee I'm running a '92 XJ track bar. I could not see or measure any difference in length, but it offset the axle a fraction of an inch so it rubs turning one way but not the other with 235/75-15s on. With 31x10.50s on it rubs both ways.

Just looked at a 1989 XJ with 31.50X10.50X15 on stock rims. No lift. There is a a small rub mark on the right hand LCA and a just barely noticeable rub mark on the left LCA. No marks on tires. From what I saw I'm not going to worry about it. If I wanted to do something about it I believe I would just heat the small rib a little and hammer it up next to the main part. Another idea would be to cut a arc out of the bottom side of the LCA. If there was any worry about weakening it then weld a piece in the bottom, closing the 'U'.
