DirtyComanche
Umm, can anybody explain to me why the junkyard PS line I got off a 4.0 renix cherokee won't fit on my renix MJ steering box? The fitting is the wrong size...
DirtyComanche
Uh, nevermind this. It helps if you try to put the line in the right port.
Bounty Hunter
How hard were they to replace? Anybody know about an o-ring between the PS pump and resevoir?
feerocknok
My 2.5L's PS lines couldn't be any easier than what it takes to change an air filter and bleed the brakes.
DirtyComanche
How hard were they to replace? Anybody know about an o-ring between the PS pump and resevoir? They aren't hard. The old ones were actually rusted on so bad that I cut the lines off and used the impact to get the fittings out. Hence getting new lines. The only reason I was having problems is that I moved my radiator so the lower hose makes it a REALLY tight fit. Dunno about pulling apart the pump. I doubt it's bad at all. HOrnbrod
Just be sure before driving to start it up after replacing the line(s) and crank the wheels side to side until the air bubbles are gone from the system. Then top up the reservoir.
DirtyComanche
I ran the engine and bled off the air. Needed to see if the damn thing leaks. Now if I could just get my front axle back.
