jpdocdave
I picked this bad boy up today, 5x10. I've been wanting a trailer to haul tractors, and whatever crap I want around. I'm thinking of painting it red, any thoughts

jpdocdave
yea thats something ive got to get dad just put in a big lawn in front of the house and weve got no mower changing subject for a second, that ingersoll in my pic i stumbled on. Turns out they are bad mama jamma tractors. I love it, that would be my first choice over a deere or anything, they are all hydraulic, not hydrostatic, even the deck raises and lowers hydraulically. Case/Ingersoll garden tractors are sweet machines. Hi/Low range, all sorts of attachments, and they are driven by a hydraulic pto. I'd be looking for a case/ingersoll. freakjeep93
that is pretty neat. i bet there getting hard to find though but i definetly like the hydraulic idea.
jpdocdave
they are still made today, but things are changing for ingersoll since they moved out of Wisconsin, and stopped using the case name. There's a bunch of them around Wisconsin, and all over actually. Parts are readily available, and they will always get repaired, and never thrown out. jpdocdave
anyway, back to the trailer, red or black?
Pete M
red might clash with the MJ.
jpdocdave
red might clash with the MJ. nah, its already 2 or 3 different shades :rotfl2: , I'm sure one would match. I guess if it wasn't the same red it wouldn't look good though. So black?
87Warrior
I have a smaller red utility trailer and I wish it was black. But red with some chrome boxes would look great too. Come to think of it, my folks have an 87 Malibu Sunsetter boat sitting on a bright red trailer (owned since 90) with the proper 80s era gold wheels. It looks good when pulled behind a white rig. aemsee
red, but with a set of wheels to match your truck
jpdocdave
Anyone got any creative ideas for boxes. I'm thinking of just mounting an ammo can on each side, I don't really care for the truck tool box on the tongue.
jpdocdave
Here she is, much better. All painted up, and I put reflectors on the side. I'm much happier with the black, and I'm a huge fan of "rust shield" its similar to POR 15. I bought a quart for $28 and I used the last drop on my last stroke on the trailer. I also drilled a hole in each pillar, and on top for the tailgate pins. There was no good spot to strap down my ingersoll, but there are plenty of places now. And my 5'x10' trailer is 6 1/2' x 12', bonus.
