Torker 2 Intake Part #?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the Part number to the Edelbrock Torker 2 intake manifold for the 2.8 60 degree v6 I've looked everywhere but all I can find is the Edelbrock performer OEM replacement intake manifold.

Thanks

I was cleaning out my basement last week and I found an edelbrock catalog from 1999. I know for a fact its in that book since I had a 2.8l Blazer at that time. I MIGHT have thrown it out though with everything else, but Ill check tonight.

As far as i know there is only 1 intake and you can get and 2 different tops , one for the stock 2v carb and the other for a 4v carb.

I got the edelbrock with the 2v setup and like it alot i can post the numbers when i get home to night .

here is my build thread , there are some pics in there of the setup (page 3 i think) and ill post more detail later

These are the only ones I found for the 2.8

Their listed as Performer series

Edelbrock Base Intake Part Number 3785

Edelbrock top manifold for 4B/4V carb 3789

as I was searching for them I ran across a camaro forum that they stated that they had Torker II's on their 2.8's. They might be the same part IDK

Hey, looks like the old catalog got thrown out with all the other junk, but it looks like someone else had the answer. And if I remember correctly, there is only one manifold for the 2.8 as was mentioned. It should be the same part for S10/Blazers, Camaros, Comanches, Cherokees, etc.

I'm not sure if u could run 3.1-3.4 heads on a 2.8 , i did for a wile run later large valve heads off of a 88 or 89 s10 but also switched to some larger tires etc.. at the same time so i was unable to give it the but dyno but I'm sure it didnt hurt. the one thing u have to do the edelbrock manifold is gasket match the 2 pieces because the fit was horible , that and i had to ditch the partial stud kit that came with the manifold due to some leaks that developed :fs1: but other than that i like it . next i want to get the headers for it and some roller rockers but for now that can wait

Just throw in a 3.4 from an early 90's camaro with the wiring and all. It's easy, and u just have to put a 4.0 sender in the tank with pump, swap the 2.8 exhaust manifold and oil pan on, and you're good to go. Instant reliable power increase.
