Rymanrph
I was getting ready to order these lock cylinders for my '90 model MJ from Quadratec, but I saw that it only listed 1984 Cherokees and some CJs. http://www.quadratec.com/products/55014_101.htm Then I found a set at Team Cherokee that lists the correct years, but are more expensive (2nd one down). http://www.teamcherokee.com/Locks_and_Keys/index.html Are these the same parts? Or are the '84 XJ locks different than what I have in my Comanche? I'd like to save a couple bucks by getting them cheaper, plus I have something else I need to order from Quadratec, so I'd save on shipping. dasbulliwagen
I really don't know if they are the same or not, but in my thinking, the only difference MAY be that the electrical connector for it is year specific and won't plug right up.... thats my guess.... and I mean GUESS. Its probably the same part with an earlier style connector, so you might be able to cut and swap connectors and make it work.

MJ is dead
On a similar note, what year XJ ignition switch/lock cylinders do we need to steal from to do the single key mod? I'm sooooo tired of carrying two keys. I guess I was spoiled with my nissans and yotas

Eagle
my problem with the locks from the store is you don't get a glove box door lock to match :dunno: Who locks the glove box? I haven't locked the glove box in any vehicle for at least 35 years, probably closer to 45.
MJ is dead
:agree: The glovebox in our rigs is no safe place anywho. All it takes is one good jerk and it will either pop open or break. No sense in locking it
