my comanche won't start it has fuel pressure has spark do you think it could be bad gas?

its been siting without the neck on so I'm thinking it could have gotten water in it also my gas gauge says its full whn i no its not it probly only has a gallon iin it.what could that be? :dunno:

We have probalbly a faulty CPS.

 

Check the DIY section for testing. :typing:

he says he has spark so CPS is probly good.

 

no fuel pressure could either mean the truck is OUT OF GAS... (silly mistake, don't let a failed gauge let you down)

probably not a blocked fuel filter if this just started happening out of the blue but you can replace it cheap and know thats good.

 

check and be sure the pump has a full 12v and then pull the line before the filter and see how much (if any) it pumps.

not necessarily, my resistor went bad, but my fuel pump still kicked on. It doesn't keep the pump from getting power, it tells when to send the fuel. Try by- passing the resistor with a piece of wire to see if thats your problem

if the pump is good you can zip the line off the fuel filter, give the pump 12v and wait til it runs out of fuel... might take a while if its full maybe 30 minutes? I'm not sure but thats what i'd do if it didnt have much in it.
