I think I read somewhere that an xj bumper won't fit but I am unsure about a hitch. I would guess it might have the same problem as the mounting points might be in common. Depends on how they are designed. some hitches say they are bed-dependent, others do not. :dunno: A search through the tech forum might bring up some brands to hunt down.
