Nice fish. I havent been out yet this year, I use rubber worms alot. Senkos usually, but they are getting rediculously expensive. Will switch to a different type this year. Was it a wacky rig or a texas rig?

The stripers are starting to come in up here too. Will catch my first this year, i hope.

My best was last year, no scale but was 22"

NICE FISH!!!

With Largemouths 5lbs is my personal best too! Got a 6lb Small mouth once thou!

Now stripers, those get a bit bigger. PB is about 45lbs. I cannot find the pic. This one is a mid 20# fish. (Its from back when I was a chub, to. ;) )

My buddie caught his PB that trip too, 51" est 60#. I have the fight on video, was right at sunset, caught on eels. Here ya go!

I haven't been out for the bass yet, life getting in the way this year. But I will!!

Since I live on a lake here in 'Bama I do a lot of fishing. Ain't no monster rockfish like CW gets though. But plenty of bass, crappie, bream, and channel cats. The below is a 8lb 9oz largemount my six year old nephew caught out back last year on a Manns 6" motor oil worm. I had it mounted for him. I've only caught two bigger, a 10/01 and a 9/09. Nothing over 7 this year.........yet.

First pic, that's me on the left, back in November. 42" rockfish, @36lbs IIRC. Crazy good eatin'! The boat is my best friend's since high school, he bought it about 2yrs ago, 46ft deadrise, neat old boat. 3208 Cat diesel, she'll troll 12-16 lines. Second pic, the guy with the beard is my other best friend since we were toddlers. That's his dad, bro, and son. His son we put on the first line, biggest fish of the day @7am, 44"/40lbs.

This was on the Chesapeake Bay by way of the St. Mary's river in southern Maryland (Leonardtown). Needless to say it was a successful day on the water. :chillin:

Man, it's great to see the recovery of the rockfish in the Bay. When I lived up there Gloucester, VA in the 70s and 80s, they were nearly gone. Lots of blues, croakers, and gray and speckled trout, but you hardly ever caught a striper. And when you did, you had to release them. :(

heck ya for another RI fisherman. Here is my PB in freshwater. Caught in 2002 at Johnson Pond 7lbs 3oz

And that 7+ pounder that Northup caught in RI is a freaking monster for New England. I grew up fishing there and never caught one even 5 lbs. That RI 7+ pounder is equivalent to a 13+ pounder down here.
