You should bolt the axle up under the truck, set the pinion angle where you want it, tack weld the perches, then take the axle back out to finish the welding.

There is no factory spec - the pinion angle depends on amount of lift, LWB/SWB, etc. and varies by rig. Johnnyc is correct if you want to do it right.

are you lifting the truck at all, or is it just an axle swap?

 

you could just measure what the truck has now and then use that number on the new axle. :thumbsup:

Truck is stock height, with 2wd leaves, swb... I'm just swapping the axle for now, but Ill probably just do what you said Pete, I was just wondering if anyone knew what they came like from the factory

Errr, forget what I posted above kro. I read the title as SOA, not SUA spring perch angle. :dunce: And yes, do what Pete says. :cheers:
