Pete M
do you have a multimeter that reads amperage?
sinkrun
Not here at the house now will have it tuesday.
Pete M
You can use it inline at the battery and then have someone pull fuses one at a time until the draw goes away. that'll narrow it down a bunch. :D
lostissues
be careful with that, a lot of multimeter's will have an internal fuse and could blow that if you hook it up in line. Â if you want to look up how to test it do a search for "parasitic drain test"
Pete M
the only meter I'm familiar with has a 10 amp ammeter. that's one heck of a draw to blow that fuse.
HOrnbrod
Pete's correct, it's very seldom (like never) to have a 10A draw w. the key out, doors shut, and all devices off. I usually pull all the fuses, hook up the multimeter in series w. the neg battery cable and ground, then stick the fuses back in one by one until you see a draw. Usually it's no more than 500 ma. Last Jeep I had drawing the battery down overnight was caused by an internal short in the radio - it was shorting out the radio memory voltage.
