Scottanchee
Does anyone make full leaf packs , in the aftermarket , for the MJ ?
CWLONGSHOT
SURE ENOUGH!!! There is a number of options!! Hell Creek is a member here and has what you need. Motion Off road is also here and aslo has a couple to choose from. I have a set of ALCAN leafs, and you could have a set built from a local shop. Last choice would be Rustys offroad. Scottanchee
Ok looks like my local spring shop is my only answer then . I was hoping one of the big lift kit companys made them , so I could get them local , shipping to Canada sux . I broke both main leafs wheelin on a trail here called the " Curse " yesterday
carcrafter87
Why would rusty's be you last choice?
jpnjim
According to this chart: http://littlekeylime.com/MrN/mrnimages/leaf_springs.png Waggy/J truck rear leafs & MJ's both are 57" long, with similar pin offset. I question this, but MrN is usually right on with his info. :dunno: I'm not saying they'll bolt right in, but there may be some other options (like Waggy leafs below an MJ main leaf). cracker
Why would rusty's be you last choice? Friends don't let frinds buy Rusty's products. VERY low quality products. Keep in mind, with Rusty's YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ;)
Pete M
More specifically to the topic at hand, IIRC one of our members suffered prematurely sagging springs, and another from a broken leaf when running rustys packs.
boardmanMJ
i have a broken main spring on my 90 elminator and i priced at getting just the main spring made and it $500 for the one leaf!!!! i can get both side full replacement packs from heelcreek for the much. i don't know up there, but around me the spring shops are a rip off. HellCreek
According to this chart:http://littlekeylime.com/MrN/mrnimages/leaf_springs.png Waggy/J truck rear leafs & MJ's both are 57" long, with similar pin offset. I question this, but MrN is usually right on with his info. :dunno: I'm not saying they'll bolt right in, but there may be some other options (like Waggy leafs below an MJ main leaf). MrN is correct. Both springs have main leaves that measure 57" long. They both have a center pin spacing of 26" X 31", and they both use 9/16" I.D bushings on the anchor and shackle bushings, so you could use some of the leaves to repair yours. Keep in mind though that a full-size Jeep is much heavier than our trucks, so you probably would not want to use all of the leaves. -Tom
