asm4mcc Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 well i just put my tranny in and drove it around for like 3 days and then it started making a noise when i push the clutch in all the clutch parts are brand new also this is my first m/t swap thanks 97 ax15
jimoshel Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Tear it apart and look at it BEFORE you really tear something up. I would blame the throw out bearing first with the pressure plate(fingers) next.
Geonovast Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 If it was fine for 3 days, and the throwout bearing was new, I would be it's not that. My bet would be either loose bellhousing bolts, or loose pressure plate bolts. Can you describe the noise better? Clutches/transmissions can make all kinds of different noises.
