asm4mcc Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 my clutch line is cut at the slave cyclinder with an inch sticking out how to i go about run a clutch line and what do i use
Geonovast Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 If it's cut far enough down so there's no fitting, then you'll probably be best replacing the slave cylinder. 1" isn't much to work with if you try to add a new fitting. How did it get cut exactly?
Eagle Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 You could try a compression fitting. It might not hold up to the pressure, but I think Pete M used one on a brake line once and got away with it, so it's worth a try.

They should never EVER be used on brake lines. The pressure is too high. I used a 1/4"to 5/16" adapter compression fitting for connecting my external slave to my original 88 metal line. ti works great for clutch lines since there's far less pressure in there.
