Geonovast Posted March 24, 2010 Share Posted March 24, 2010 If it's cut far enough down so there's no fitting, then you'll probably be best replacing the slave cylinder. 1" isn't much to work with if you try to add a new fitting. They should never EVER be used on brake lines. The pressure is too high. I used a 1/4"to 5/16" adapter compression fitting for connecting my external slave to my original 88 metal line. ti works great for clutch lines since there's far less pressure in there.
