TheYeti1775 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Alright have the 86 MJ longbed 7', will a Ford Ranger long bed (7'3") fit it? My wife found a cheap one on Craigslist in my area and I'm not home to measure it out right now.

terrawombat Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 That cap is going to be a bit short. I measured my 7' Comanche bed the other day and if I remember correctly, it was right around 7'6" give or take an inch.

comanche09 Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Thanks for posting that jimoshel. The MJ is wider at the front, could you get that measurement too? S-10 is same with front and rear, but it fits the MJ bed well enough. I just bought a highrise S-10 cap.

jimoshel Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 The front of the long box is 55.5". The rear is 54.5" This is inside the rail measurement. The rail is 2" wide. Will have the short box measurements manana.

They were not bent or distorted. Also picked up a early '90's Ranger cover. Looks like it would be a close to perfect fit for a SB MJ. Length 75.5". Width 60"
chibrian79 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Sorry to revive an old thread but I found a 1996 S-10 Longbed cap for a great deal. Any idea if this will fit a 1989 Long bed MJ? Having trouble finding dimensions to compare.
