88pioneer Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 the 92 shakes like a mother once i get over 45. Just real fine shakes, but can feel it in my steering wheel. Also hast the ol' death wobble from around 50 to 55. Not super worried about it, but hoping my new currie track bar will fix some of it. Just seeing what some other people have done to alleviate there problems.
mvusse Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Get your front wheels rebalanced. I'm willing to be one of them has lost a weight.

That is NOT death wobble, that's tire shimmy caused by poor balance on the front tires.
TooTall Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 arm should help but check arm mount to make sure its ok!probally armm ends are worn thow!mine did the same thing too and ended up that the steel mount for arm was loose. :wavey:
88pioneer Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 Well that makes me happier, maybe a wheel weight is all i'll need, and yes once i get through this little death wobble it goes away, it just has a shake to it that isn't too bad
Eagle Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Well that makes me happier, maybe a wheel weight is all i'll need, and yes once i get through this little death wobble it goes away, it just has a shake to it that isn't too bad I don't like to belabor the point, but we see this mistake too often to let it slide: Â YOU DON'T HAVE DEATH WOBBLE Â You have wheel shimmy, caused by an imbalanced tire. If you can drive through it ... it isn't death wobble. With death wobble, you CANNOT keep driving, and you have to slow down to almost a complete stop before the shaking goes away. There is no such thing as a "little" death wobble. It's called "death wobble" for a reason. When it occurs, you think you're going to die ... instantly.
88pioneer Posted March 12, 2010 Author Posted March 12, 2010 o believe me i know the death wobble, my brothers ZJ was horrible, to the point where i thought i was going to instantly die, so yes i know the horrors of death wobble
pilotblake Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 I agree death wobble should not be used as a term in any paragraph that doesn't end with ...."I then had to change my shorts"
STERLING STINGER Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Then you don't have the death wobble. If your wheel shakes out of your hand And you have to slam on the brakes to a complete stop....then you have the death wobble. Be careful, don't even Drive, let alone go 60. Sheesh!
88pioneer Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 ok... so i don't have death wobble, i get that part  . Was just looking for ideas on how to fix the front end shimmy and no i don't drive at 60 cause parts will probly start shaking loose from all the vibration :shake:
88pioneer Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 no, haven't had time yet. Maybe monday i'll run it down to the mechanic and have him check them out
